The counter

Menu

Matcha for your peace, espresso for your fire.

Coffee in all its moods: bold, smooth, creamy. Homemade cake and banana bread, and once a week that golden plantain sandwich.

Matcha

  • Iced, in the TONTON cup.

Coffee

  • There's homemade cake and banana bread.

The Tontons

Every Tonton has a story

Jonas and Gilbert, the founders, on the bench outside Café TonTon.Jonas and Gilbert opened Café TonTon in May 2025, a space built for the community and the neighbourhood. Everyone behind the counter is a Tonton: Son, the self-proclaimed coffee guy; Manu, who knows your order and your mood; Max, with style and a smile; @me.ronne; @salaulamu, all swag and all heart. Robin bakes the cake of the week.

In the first weeks they carried donuts and cinnamon rolls to the agencies and shops next door. After a winter break they reopened on 31 March 2026 and handed out tulips.

Since May 2025

Brand takeovers

  • solebox and New Balance turned the café grey for Grey Days 2025: grey-inspired drinks and pastries, 19 to 23 May.

  • Chilled cocktails, summer vibes and the perfect crowd.

  • A full café takeover with three Earl Grey drinks, custom kicks and a pop-up night on 8 August with a DJ and tattoos.

  • Daily Paper showed its FW25 collection, 23 to 27 September, with limited-edition sips and sweet treats.

  • With adidas and Among Good People, from 9 January to the final on 18 January: public viewing, African food specials and a jersey print station.

  • An activation for fitness, connection and recovery.

  • The Buffalo community customised shoes in the café.

  • Conversations, matcha and art, with fritz-kola, Jägermeister and GOA.

Events & coworking

Launches, runs and after-work nights.

Pop-up weeks and watch parties. A DJ set, a custom drinks menu, a print station or a photo booth.
